Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) March 8, 2008
Monave Mineral Cosmetics has come a long way since Deborah Bilezikian founded the company in 2000. The line of natural makeup was the subject of a recent article in Style Magazine, a Baltimore lifestyle magazine about home design, entertaining, fashion, food, travel, personalities and style. With faithful customers locally as well as internationally, the cosmetics company's star is definitely on the rise.
Bilezikian got her start as a makeup artist, but she was also a makeup user with numerous allergies to different cosmetics products. Her experiences working in the health food industry and growing up in an environmentally aware family taught her a great deal about how toxic many of the cosmetic products on the market really are. After years of research and testing she was able to begin formulating products with simple and natural ingredients.
Bilezikian got the chance to start her own makeup line after she took over as manager of a mineral cosmetics kiosk in a mall in Glen Burnie, Maryland, according to the Style article. She felt as if the makeup was a great product, but the mineral powder colors were not flattering. With an art background, however, she was able to blend the colors together to create shades that were more appealing to customers. Within the year Monave was born. Not only does the company provide a natural alternative to commercial makeup, but it also provides opportunities for other women to create their own viable businesses reselling Monave's products.
Monave has created a strong presence on the Web that has attracted many international customers, and the cosmetics line also has a loyal following in the Baltimore area. The company has been particularly successful among African-American, Latin, Asian, and Middle-Eastern women because of their range of products that suit any complexion. One of Bilezekian's missions is to address the needs of a multi-ethnic community that is often ignored by large cosmetics brands. "It's a personal mission on many levels to ensure that as many possible complexions are served by the palette of colors that Monave offers," said Bilezekian.
As this recent article shows, the natural cosmetics line is gaining notoriety and should continue growing exponentially in the future. For more information about Monave Mineral Cosmetics, visit http://www.monave.com.
