It's a dream of mine to visit the city (Las Vegas) and play the Main Event. I'm a little bit nervous of course, but the pleasant anticipation weighs stronger.

PokerListings.com's exclusive 2008 WSOP* Main Event freeroll series at Pacific Poker, has crowned its first winner, 33-year-old Michael Killenberger, who outlasted just 151 players late last month to win the first of five $12,500 Main Event packages.
Four more high-value $15k Main Event freerolls are still to come, with the next set for March 30. Winners all claim one of the most sought-after prizes in poker - the $10,000 buy-in, plus travel and accommodation, for the 2008 World Series of Poker* Main Event.
Killenberger, a self-employed management and financial consultant from Germany who has been playing poker for about three years, was thrilled by his win, "It's a dream of mine to visit the city (Las Vegas) and play the Main Event. I'm a little bit nervous of course, but the pleasant anticipation weighs stronger."
"This freeroll series," adds Hannah Mayen, media relations director at PokerListings.com, "could literally be the first step in a career in poker for one of our players. Or, as we've seen, can simply give a player a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to live out a poker dream. Whatever the end goal, we couldn't be happier to give them the chance - and with unbelievably high-value playing conditions no less. Spreading $15,000 among just 151 players is clearly among the best per-player ratios anyone can find in online poker."
All freerolls are exclusive to PokerListings players (signed up at Pacific Poker through a PokerListings.com link), with just 50 comp points in each respective qualifying period needed to play.
Current qualifying period for the March 30 freeroll is from February 18 to March 23. As an added bonus in each freeroll, $2,500 in cash is spread to a deep prize pool from position two down.
Also not to be missed in the coming months for PokerListings players at Pacific Poker are six exclusive freerolls for the $3 million World Poker Crown (WPC) online qualifier.
Winner of each private PL.com freeroll takes a seat (value $1,050) in the qualifier Apr. 26, 2008, where the top eight players will earn the right to battle it out live in Barcelona for the WPC title and a top prize of $1 million. Qualifying requirement for the PL freerolls is just five Pacific Poker points in the week prior to each; events run every Wednesday from March 12 to April 16, 2008.
"Our recipe is simple," adds Mayen. "The biggest sign-up bonuses, guaranteed, and a perpetual stream of freerolls for the biggest live poker events in the world. If you're going to play online poker, it simply makes sense to sign up through PokerListings. And we know when it comes to 2008 World Series qualifying, there simply is no better value out there."
