Ilapak announces the completion of the acquisition of the tangible and non-tangible assets of Delta Systems Inc and Food Machinery Sales Inc that are currently under Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
The business assets have been reorganized under two operating divisions of Ilapak Holding USA Inc. They will retain all aspects of product lines, service, engineering, sales, and support functions and will continue to operate from premises in Rogers Arkansas and Athens Georgia.
Delta Systems specializes in the manufacture of primary product handling, feeding and wrapping systems for various consumer products but most notably for the global bakery industry. Delta Systems has over 600 worldwide installations and in 2006 had sales of approximately $20 million.
FMS specializes in distribution and feeding systems for snack food, cookie and cracker manufacturers and has more than 300 installations throughout the Americas.
There are a number of Fortune 500 food companies that use Delta or FMS equipment in their manufacturing facilities.
Based in Lugano Switzerland the Ilapak Group is one of the largest privately held packaging machinery business in the world, with factories in Switzerland, Italy and China.
