Oxford Gene Technology Appointed Agilent Certified Service Provider (CSP) in Europe

Oxford Gene Technology and Agilent Technologies, Inc. today announced OGT's officially granted status as an Agilent microarray Certified Service Provider (CSP) in Europe.

Oxford Gene Technology (OGT) and Agilent Technologies, Inc. today announced OGT's officially granted status as an Agilent microarray Certified Service Provider (CSP) in Europe following the completion of several successful projects. To date, OGT has been involved in a wide range of projects, from transcription profiling of sequenced microorganisms to large array-based comparative genomic hybridisation (aCGH) projects involving many hundreds of samples.

OGT's experience, particularly in the development of customised arrays, has been gleaned from over 160 projects carried out for researchers internationally since 2004. The combination of this expertise in microarray services with Agilent's microarray platform provides customers with a comprehensive solution, giving them a flexible platform using high density, high sensitivity microarrays, with a tailored service for all key applications.

OGT and Agilent were joint pioneers of the development of the inkjet in-situ synthesis (IJISS) and the company's status as a CSP has further built on its expertise using this technology. Dr Mike Evans, Chief Executive at OGT, said: "I am delighted that Agilent has recognised the excellence of OGT's services staff and experimental procedures by appointing OGT as a CSP."
