Leading health experts join online health and wellness program.

Newton, MA (PRWEB) March 13, 2008 -- MyStudentBody®, an online, comprehensive prevention program that delivers reliable college health information to students in a customizable format, convened an expanded expert advisory board. MyStudentBody's advisory board provides subject matter review and contributions from members with extensive experience in the college health fields as well as the specific topic areas of alcohol, drugs, stress, nutrition, tobacco, and sexual health.

Comprised of preeminent experts in the physical and mental health fields as well as distinguished professors at leading universities, MyStudentBody's advisory board members include: Dr. Debra Franko, Northeastern University; Dr. Glenn Good, University of Missouri-Columbia; Dr. Joseph Greenberg, The George Washington University; Tavis Glassman, University of Florida; and Olivia Jolly, BACCHUS-GAMMA. These five members bring a combined 60 years experience in the health education field and have authored over 200 articles and publications. Advisory board members review MyStudentBody content for accuracy and relevance, provide insight into the changing needs of college administrators and health service personnel, and guide the direction of future enhancements to MyStudentBody's comprehensive college health program.

"As we move forward into the next generation of MyStudentBody, we are extremely pleased to work with the excellent group of professionals that comprise our Advisory Board. We have been able to involve college professionals from multiple fields who have experience with prevention programming in alcohol use, drug use, sexual health, stress, and nutrition. Most importantly, members of our Advisory Board have demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of students and their colleges," says Emil Chiauzzi, PhD, Vice President of Product Strategy, Inflexxion, Inc. ®

Developed with $6 million in grants from the National Institutes of Health, MyStudentBody tackles the most relevant health issues on college campuses today. The MyStudentBody comprehensive program provides interactive online health information and risk reduction services to more than 1 million college students, university administrators, and health professionals across the United States.
