David Oliver, founder of Bipolar Central and the soon-to-be-launched Mental Health World, has recently released a free book that gives readers information on all the major mental disorders, grouped by classification.
Oliver realized the need for such a report when he tried researching mental disorders on his own. He discovered that much of the information online was either too difficult to understand or it was not in sync with the classification system used by mental health professionals.
"Millions of Americans struggle with a mental illness each year," said Oliver. "These individuals need information -- information that's both accurate and as easy to understand as possible."
Oliver contracted with a medical doctor to write the report, titled "Overview of Mental Disorders: A Complete, Exhaustive Guide to Mental Health." He then had a team of common people review the report to ensure that it was as easy to read as possible, while not compromising medical integrity and accuracy. The result is a 200-plus-page report that can be downloaded for free online.
