Mr. Dickerson, COO of Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy took some time out of his visit to Houston to meet with executives from AirGenerate. Among those present from AirGenerate included Rick Pal, CEO, Sunil Sinha, Chief Scientist, and Chris Wolfe, Counsel.
Mr. Dickerson, who oversees EERE's $1.74 billion budget, expressed his admiration for energy-efficient heat pump technologies like AirTap™ and discussed areas of cooperation between EERE and AirGenerate.
EERE invests in a diverse portfolio of energy technologies to provide efficient, clean and renewable energy leading toward a stronger economy, a cleaner environment and greater energy independence for America. AirGenerate's leading product AirTap™ fits perfectly with their vision. It is an adaptable heat pump that attaches onto customer's current water heater, whether it is gas or electric. It uses a patent-pending method that reverses refrigeration technology to heat water. This device that has a MSRP of $399 (exclusive of rebates) is easy and inexpensive to install, operate and maintain.
"AirTap™ is the most energy-efficient water heater in USA that can save over 10% of home-owner's energy bills. It has potential to save billions of dollars and reduce billions of pounds of carbon dioxide every year," said Sunil Sinha.
According to Rick Pal, "Mr. Dickerson was very interested in AirTap™. AirGenerate is looking forward to working with EERE to make our products commercially available to all Americans who are interested in reducing their bills and helping the environment at the same time."
