Equinix Opens New Certified Data Centre in Paris Saint-Denis
Equinix Inc, (Nasdaq: EQIX), the leading global provider of network-neutral datacenters and Internet exchange services, has announced that a further 2,500m2 of highly-specified datacentre space is now available at its ISO 9001-2000 certified Paris Saint-Denis (PA2) site.
London (PRWEB) March 17, 2008 -- Equinix Inc, Nasdaq: EQIX the leading global provider of network-neutral datacenters and Internet exchange services, has announced that a further 2,500m2 of highly-specified datacentre space is now available at its ISO 9001-2000 certified Paris Saint-Denis (PA2) site.
The expansion comes as a shortage of available datacentre space affects the Paris market, which comprises one of the fastest growing markets in Europe, yet has one of the lowest fully-fitted vacancy rates. Equinix has responded to demand from financial services companies and other enterprise organisations by opening this additional data colocation space at its Saint- Denis site, which equates to 1,250 racks.
Following the acquisition of an initial space in Saint-Denis in 2006 and a first extension in early 2007, this announcement enables Equinix to offer a total of 6,000m2 of highly specified datacentre space at this particularly well located site. The site has been built out to Equinix's high standards allowing it to provide uncompromising levels of datacentre service in terms of power supply, cooling, environmental control, security and technical expertise.
The new space is open to customers immediately, and in most cases customer deployments can be completed within six to twelve weeks.
