At Lakes of Bella Terra, the West Houston neighborhood she and her husband recently moved into, Evelyn Hroch is about to become a hero with the neighborhood kids and families for whom she's planning an exciting Easter Egg Hunt.

Evelyn Hroch is the kind of person every great neighborhood needs. She's personable, takes great pride in her home, and absolutely loves meeting her neighbors.

At Lakes of Bella Terra, the West Houston neighborhood she and her husband recently moved into, she's about to become a hero with the neighborhood kids and families for whom she's planning an exciting Easter Egg Hunt.

"I've already passed out the fliers," said Evelyn. "Everyone seems really excited. Lots of parents have said they'll bring candy, cupcakes and juice boxes, and I'm going to create a special egg with each child's name on it."

When Lisa Clark, Vice President of Ryko Development, heard about Evelyn's plans, she called to offer her full support.

"As a member of this community's development team, it's so gratifying to see people make it their home and create new friendships and memories with their neighbors," said Clark. "We already have approximately 35 families in the community and another 30 or so are scheduled to move in soon. Getting to meet and interact with the families, and especially people like Evelyn, makes all of our hard work so worthwhile."

To help with the festivities, Ryko is donating the bunny. "You can't have an Easter Egg Hunt without a giant, furry bunny waving to the kids, posing for pictures and handing out goodies," added Clark.

This isn't the first neighborhood social Evelyn has planned and it probably won't be the last. "We started a ladies Bunco club where we get together in each other's homes, have supper and play Bunco. We have 8 members so far and we're looking for 4 more."

Evelyn says she chose Lakes of Bella Terra for two great reasons--her "grandbabies."
Evelyn's two grandsons live nearby in Lakes on Eldridge North, and in her frequent visits to the community, she came to appreciate the lifestyle and attention to detail that made it an award-winning example of Ryko's work.

"My husband and I are retired school teachers and we lived in Corpus Christie for 33 years. When my son told me about this new community, Lakes of Bella Terra, we decided to look into it," she added. "We drove out and met with Village Builders because we wanted a one-story home. We fell in love with one of their models and signed the papers the next day."

While Evelyn's Easter Egg Hunt is intended for the families of Lakes of Bella Terra, Ryko Development has planned many exciting opportunities for the public to get in on the community fun.

"Get ready for West Houston's Big To-Do!" says Clark. "Starting on Saturday, April 5th, we're kicking off 10 exciting Saturdays of events, activities and give-aways. I'm especially excited because our builders are getting really creative with their activities and prizes."

One builder at Lakes of Bella Terra is planning to host a Motorhead's Lounge with exotic motorcycles and cars and a chance to win a day at the races. Another builder is going to have a popular local chef preparing appetizers and a chance to win a private in-home dinner party hosted by that chef.
