Philadelphia (PRWEB) March 18, 2008
Procura Management, Inc., a provider of medical cost containment and managed care services to the workers’ compensation and automobile insurance industry, announced today that it has signed a partnership agreement with Mitchell International, Inc., through its Mitchell Medical division, which provides medical bill review, workflow solutions and decision support tools to the majority of U.S. automotive insurance carriers. The partnership is enhanced by Cypress Care’s pharmacy and ancillary healthcare services offered through Procura’s network.
Mitchell and Procura will provide automobile property & casualty carriers access to strong regional and national specialty provider networks that include physician, hospital, medical services, pharmacy and other ancillary healthcare services. In addition, Mitchell and Procura will develop an integrated end to end solution leveraging Mitchell’s Medical leading Decision Point® bill review application, its proprietary Claimant Treatment Guide, and Procura’s leading Pre-Certification program that meets the New Jersey regulatory needs as required by Automobile Insurance Cost Reduction Act (AICRA). This unique and fully integrated solution will allow policyholders access to high quality, cost effective programs through Procura’s network and services and allow Mitchell to extend its capabilities further into the medical cost containment arena, particularly New Jersey. The solution results in access to care for policyholders, review of medical expenses through increased utilization of network providers, and increased visibility to claims matching the criteria for medical services.
“The new partnership offers the premier single solution for claims management and network access for the automobile insurance industry,” said Joseph R. Fox, president and CEO of Procura. “This seamless and integrated solution includes claims management from the onset of injury to ensure the most comprehensive coverage. Our network solution, which includes Cypress Care’s pharmacy benefit management and ancillary health services programs, will provide the maximum depth of benefits that will be passed on to clients, as well as to the insured, in the form of extended services and care.”
According to Tom McCarthy, executive vice president of Mitchell International, “Mitchell and Procura have proven experience serving the needs of the auto insurance marketplace and this partnership will allow our customers and their policyholders to gain access to Procura’s market leading services in New Jersey and nationally to help ensure carriers manage their claims timely, accurately and fairly.”
