Schnader Welcomes Jeffrey O. Greenfield to the Firm's Business Services Department

Greenfield has joined the Pittsburgh family attorneys Firm as a partner in the Business Services Department. Mr. Greenfield -- who has been an attorney for more than 18 years and has experience in structuring, negotiating and closing complex transactions -- was a part of the Schnader team until 2001.

Just prior to joining Schnader's distinguished Pittsburgh, PA attorneys, Mr. Greenfield was the owner and chief operating officer of a wholesale book distribution company, and prior to that he was the founder and president of privately-held company that sought to acquire and operate leading middle-market companies within broad industry categories in the mid-Atlantic region. Mr. Greenfield began his career at the firm of Mesirov, Gelman, Jaffe, Cramer & Jamieson in 1987, becoming a partner in 1995, and serving as a member of the firm's executive committee and the hiring partner. He originally became a part of the Schnader firm when the Mesirov firm combined with Schnader in 2000.
During his career, he has also been a partner at another major downtown Philadelphia law firm, handling general corporate matters with a concentration in finance; mergers and acquisitions; private debt/equity; asset-based finance; and business formation, planning and counseling. Active in the local community as well, Mr. Greenfield has served in a variety of leadership roles, including serving on the Board of Directors for the Pals for Life Association (1992-2006) and as a member of the Corporate Partners Board, Philadelphia Zoo (1998-2004). He graduated cum laude with a B.A. in political science from Vanderbilt University in 1983, and received his J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 1987, where he was Articles Editor of the Emory Law Review.
