Waltham, MA, March 20, 2008 -- InterNoded, the leader in Mobile Device Lifecycle Management announces strong momentum in 2008. InterNoded Mobile Device Manager 3.2 is the latest version and new name for its successful Mobile Device Management solution, formerly called IWA. New customer contracts representing a 50% increase in devices served were signed in Q1 2008.
InterNoded Mobile Device Manager (IMDM) includes a self-service portal, for provisioning and supporting smartphones. This typically saves companies 40-60% in helpdesk calls as employees can manage their smartphones themselves. For instance, an employee can set up a new Blackberry TM or Windows Mobile TM Smartphone, begin receiving corporate email, change a password, or report a missing device at their convenience.
Corporate IT managers appreciate that IMDM is multi-platform and multi-server, making it ideal for complex environments. A robust enterprise solution, IMDM also manages load balancing of wireless middleware servers such as Blackberry Enterprise Server from Research in Motion (RIM). InterNoded Mobile Device Manager seamlessly integrates with corporate IT policies such as security profiles via AD/LDAP.
Internally, InterNoded also grew its management team and sales and marketing staff. Laura Bordewieck Rippy, former CEO of mobile software download leader Handango and former Microsoft executive, joined the team as Advisory Board member and Chief Strategy Officer. Chas Douglis, former CFO of SiteScape, Visage, and Veridiem came on board as Chief Financial Officer as the company expands.
The company's growth was driven by customer wins for the InterNoded Mobile Device Management product. In Q1 2008 the number of devices running on InterNoded's product grew by 50%. "We are excited with the enthusiasm of the market for IMDM, and are optimistic for additional growth with the continued expanded use of mobile devices in the enterprise" said InterNoded CEO Julie Palen. InterNoded customers include Coca Cola, Wachovia, AG Edwards, and Dunkin Brands.
InterNoded provides the Global 2000 with the industry's only self-service mobile device and application management solution supporting multiple mobile platforms and optimized for high performance and reliability. InterNoded's product, InterNoded Mobile Device Manager (IMDM), is based on fifteen years of experience managing complex corporate email and wireless hosting environments.
