The Hampshire Companies, a full service, private real estate investment fund manager with equity in assets valued at over $1.5 billion, announced the appointments of Michael Harrington as Asset Manager, Karen Goodman as Assistant Controller and Trent Taylor as Assistant Asset Manager/Financial Analyst.
As Asset Manager, Mr. Harrington will be responsible for all aspects of asset management including facility and property management, operations, leasing and monitoring opportunities to increase asset performance for The Hampshire Generational Fund, one of the firm's private equity real estate investment funds tailored to high net worth investors. In addition, Mr. Harrington is responsible for analytical support for potential acquisitions.
Prior to joining Hampshire, Mr. Harrington spent six years as a member of the Metro New York Institutional Investment Group for Grubb & Ellis Company where he was involved in all aspects of investment property sales, with a focus on large institutional transactions. He holds a B.S. in Planning and Urban Development from Pennsylvania State University and a certificate in Real Estate Studies from New York University's School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
In her role as Assistant Controller, Ms. Goodman will be responsible for assisting the company's Fund Controller with all accounting and tax matters pertaining to The Hampshire Partners Fund VI, the company's $235 million institutional real estate investment fund. Prior to joining Hampshire, she was an Accounting Manager for a real estate management company in Orlando, Fla.
Ms. Goodman holds a Master's Degree from the University of North Carolina - Wilmington in Accounting and is a CPA license holder in Florida and North Carolina.
As Assistant Asset Manager/Financial Analyst, Mr. Taylor will perform financial modeling for the Hampshire Generational Fund as well as perform support for all aspects of asset management. He holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance with a concentration in real estate investment from the University of Central Florida.
