Lakes of Bella Terra has gone from a community "growing up" to a vibrant, thriving destination in West Houston.

With over 35 families already in residence, and 30 more scheduled to move into their new homes soon, the community is quickly becoming known for qualities beyond its resort amenities and wide range of home choices.

"Lakes of Bella Terra offers an ideal mix of family-friendly recreation activities, great schools, an array of new shops and restaurants sprouting down the street, and ultra-easy access to major transportation routes," said Lisa Clark, Vice President of Ryko Development, Houston's 2006 "Developer of the Year".

"Having the Westpark Tollway right here is a huge plus," said new homeowner Marty Negron. He and his wife, Maria, along with their two sons, Jonathan (age 14) and Jorman (age 12), are special among Lakes of Bella Terra's many new families. They are the community's very first residents, and were recognized as such with a special gift from Ryko Development and their homebuilder, Village Builders.

"We're grateful to everyone who makes Lakes of Bella Terra their home, but we wanted to do something special for our first family," said Clark. "So we created a "welcome" sign for their yard and presented them with a special landscaping package as a token of our appreciation."

The Negrons recently relocated from Jacksonville, North Carolina and they don't have any family in Houston, but they're finding many ways to stay busy, meet new people, and have fun. So far, Marty's experience with Lakes of Bella Terra and his new home by Village Builders has been, in his words, "a ten plus."

To help prospective families get to know Lakes of Bella Terra, Ryko Development and its builders are currently hosting West Houston's Big To-Do, 10 exciting Saturdays of events, activities and give-aways. A complete schedule of the 10-week celebration is available at LakesofBellaTerra.com.
