The solution combines a nationwide network of electronic Live Scan devices with a web-based management interface that enables employers to initiate, track and manage the electronic fingerprinting process right from their desktop.
In recent years, federal agencies have mandated that certain individuals in regulated industries such as banking, finance, securities and transportation undergo a fingerprint-based search of the FBI’s National Crime Information Center database (NCIC). Additionally, many states are now requiring fingerprint-based searches through their own state criminal records database or FBI database for certain positions in the healthcare and/or education industries.
Verifications’ electronic fingerprinting services help employers meet these requirements. A national network of electronic fingerprinting stations allows quick and easy collection and submission of fingerprints to the FBI or applicable state agency. For example, an arrest may be shown but no disposition is included. If an electronic fingerprinting search requires additional research, Verifications can conduct disposition searches by sending a field researcher to the originating jurisdiction to look for additional case information.
