Cvent Reports 55% Increase in Sales and New Product Features

Cvent, Inc., the leader in web-based event management, eMarketing and online survey solutions, announced another record breaking year in 2007, with sales increasing by 55%. For the fourth quarter ending December 31, 2007 Cvent completed its 20th consecutive profitable quarter.

Cvent signed over 1,000 new event management customers during 2007, setting company records for the most customers acquired in one year including companies such as The Washington Post, Exxon Mobile, Harvard Business School, Forbes Magazine, The Boston Globe, SAS Institute, Network Solutions, Check Point Software Technologies, Siemens Energy and Automation, Disney Consumer Products, PNC Financial Services Group, The New York Times, and Halliburton Energy Services.

•Cvent also signed over 500 new clients for its Web Survey offering including organizations such as Southwest Airlines, National Geographic, International Monetary Fund, Au Bon Pain, and Checkers Drive in Restaurants.

In addition to Cvent's increasing client base, the McLean-based company has undergone significant employee growth and added substantially to customer-facing sales, operations and client services teams. Cvent hired 135 new employees in 2007, bringing the company full-time employee total headcount to over 300 employees. The company plans to continue to hire aggressively in 2008 to meet its technology and growing customer's needs.

Cvent Product Enhancements in 2007

  • Cvent released new features for our web-based event management software enabling planners to use our software for roommate matching, name badge production (with bar codes), on-site event kiosks, bulk event registrations, travel workflow planning, and new payment processing options. Cvent also released key features that allow for even simpler design of event websites, registration forms, and marketing campaigns with an enhanced web-based wizard (no programming required).
  • During 2007 Cvent released new advanced features for our Web Survey product enabling organizations to use advanced online survey features including support for survey kiosks, survey scoring, private surveys (invitation only), question piping, matrix question types, reporting of results across multiple surveys, question libraries, pre-designed survey templates, and a wide choice of survey invitation templates.
  • Cvent released an application programming interface (API) in 2007 allowing clients to connect Cvent's enterprise software to their back-office systems facilitating live syncing of important business data. Cvent also added key security features to online eCommerce in 2007 including Payment Card Industry compliance (PCI Compliance) for event fee collection.
