Reading Friends -- Flower Mound, today announced the opening of a new kindergarten program for the fall 2008 school year. This new class will allow parents to take advantage of the success the school has experienced in recent years to bridge the gap from preschool to elementary school. The kindergarten class will also take advantage of the school's academic foundation in reading and phonics with the goal of ensuring children are set up for success.

"As a school, we are committed to serving children and we are looking forward to adding this new kindergarten class," said Marlo Senick, Director of Reading Friends -- Flower Mound. "Many parents have approached me about a kindergarten program. After researching what was currently on the market, we felt it would be a great time to bring this new program to the community."

Reading Friends follows a structured, multi-sensory curriculum which includes phonics, math, gross motor skills, creative art, discovery sciences and indoor/outdoor free play -- it is not a day care center. Reading Friends was recognized by D Magazine as being one of the best preschools in the Dallas / Fort Worth area.

The Flower Mound preschool was opened three years ago by current franchisee and owner, Marlo Senick, and has grown significantly to include families from Denton, Argyle, Flower Mound, Lewisville, Highland Village, and Double Oak.

"It is wonderful to hear that Reading Friends -- Flower Mound is adding a Kindergarten class to their already recognized school. I feel that we have been blessed with something as special as Reading Friends and are delighted with the quality curriculum and the supportive teachers since we enrolled our son at the school," noted parent Jennifer Miller.

Enrollment at Reading Friends is limited in order to maintain the nurturing intimacy that creates a solid foundation of self-confidence in the classroom. Preparing a child for future academic success entails more than learning the alphabet and recognizing shapes. Reading Friends prepares the whole child for lifelong learning and is motivated to work with parents to instill a passion for reading and learning in the young child that is critical in this "reading world."
