Lewis Apartment Communities, owner and manager of many apartment properties throughout California and Nevada, announced today that the company has been honored with a 2007 National Multifamily Customer Service Award for Excellence, one of six companies to receive the prestigious award, according to Randall Lewis, Principal and Executive Vice President of Lewis Apartment Communities. The distinction is bestowed annually by the nationally recognized consulting and benchmarking firm CEL & Associates, Inc., which recognizes companies whose customer satisfaction levels are the best in the industry in the United States.

Los Angeles-based CEL & Associates ranks companies in five classifications including Category I for companies with 41 or more apartment properties; Category II for companies with 31 to 40 apartment properties; Category III for companies with 21 to 30 apartment properties; Category IV for companies with 11 to 20 apartment properties; and Category V for companies with less than 10 apartment properties. Additionally, individual properties are eligible for "A List" certificates. Lewis Apartment Communities was rated as the top company in Category II. Additionally, 20 of Lewis's apartment communities received the individual "A List" distinction for outstanding customer service in 2007.
