Forum One Communications, a business strategy company specializing in online communications and user experience, announces the creation of Forum One Networks. The new division builds on the company's existing commercially-oriented online community-focused businesses including events, research, and a professionals network, as well as launching a new community consulting group. This change addresses the growing need in corporate America to understand and better leverage online community and social media in business.

The new division is unique not only in its focus, but also in its approach. "We firmly believe that the best source of information about online communities and social media are those who play in this space daily," says Bill Johnston, Chief Community Officer. Forum One Networks will continue to produce unconferences and invitation-based events that focus on trends and current topics in online community strategy, best practices, and social media. The 2008 roster includes:

The Online Community Research Network (OCRN), also produced by Forum One Networks, is a collaborative effort of online community professionals to better understand the principal challenges of building and managing online communities. The OCRN makes studies publicly available, at no cost, six months after their completion. The following are two of the most recent public reports: Marketing and Online Communities 2007 and Online Community ROI.

Consulting Services include how and why to implement a Community Strategy in a commercial enterprise; developing the right metrics and tracking in online community ROI. Forum One Networks also address talent development and recruiting as well as influencer and feedback programs.
