Albany, NY (PRWEB) March 26, 2008
HANYS Solutions, a subsidiary of the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS), and HTP, Inc. announced today that they have entered into an exclusive two-year agreement to market HTP’s revenue cycle management software to health care facilities in New York State. The HTP RevRunner® 3.5 suite is a complete, integrated solution for automating the revenue cycle to increase revenue, minimize bad debt, improve patient satisfaction, and meet charity missions.
“HTP offers health care facilities the most cutting-edge revenue cycle management tools within one easy-to-use, Web-based system,” said Maryjane Wurth, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of HANYS Solutions. “We are very impressed, not only with the system’s capability, but with the remarkable fiscal results it is enabling hospitals to generate around the country.”
With HTP RevRunner, hospital staff can quickly determine a patient’s ability to pay for health care, verify insurance coverage, and validate the patient’s identity. For patients who can pay, the system enables the creation of an accurate bill, guides staff through the collection of appropriate payment based on existing hospital collection policy, and processes payment through electronic cashiering. If a patient is unable to pay for part or all of his or her health care expenses, HTP RevRunner identifies all available financial assistance options and initiates enrollment. HTP RevRunner enables this entire process to take place within minutes, prior to or at the time of service, thus reducing the cost to collect, minimizing bad debt, and accelerating cash collections.
“HTP is honored to be selected as the preferred revenue cycle vendor by HANYS Solutions,” said HTP President and CEO Ray Shealy. “We look forward to providing health care facilities in the state of New York with technology to simplify revenue management and achieve optimum financial health.”
HTP RevRunner improves the business of health care by helping hospitals find coverage for patients who have it, maximize reimbursement from patients who can pay, and find financial assistance for patients who cannot. The software suite was recently cited in congressional testimony as the type of technology hospitals should look to for more accurate classification and reporting of community benefit in light of the new Internal Revenue Service Form 990 requirements.
