Acuity Mobile Inc., a leading provider of mobile marketing solutions, today announced the hiring of Eric Ashman as Vice President of Engineering. Ashman, a seasoned technology executive and entrepreneur will be responsible for growing Acuity's development and production infrastructures; hiring and supervising new developers and technical project managers; and participating in the strategic planning process.

Acuity Mobile's Embedded Mobile Advertising Platform (EMAP) is the only mobile marketing solution that delivers Spot Relevance™ - the ability to target content delivery to the right person, at the right time, in the right location. Earlier this month the company announced that NAVTEQ (NYSE: NVT), a leading global provider of digital maps, made an equity investment in Acuity Mobile and also extended its license agreement of Acuity Mobile technologies. Acuity also recently received investments from the Maryland Department of Economic and Business Development and other mid-Atlantic funds.

Prior to joining Acuity, Ashman was the Chief Technology Officer for Proteus, Inc., where he led the company's team of developers and engineers in designing and creating innovative mobile marketing solutions for large companies. His clients included carriers and media brands such as AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, HBO, Fox, Disney, Univision, and ABC. He has engineered high-volume mobile campaigns for American Idol, the Olympic Games, and numerous other live television events. Ashman also co-founded and served as Managing Partner for USWeb/CKS's Washington, DC practice, where he handled the oversight, operation, management and strategic direction of the division bringing in over $15 million in revenue annually.

Ashman's past experiences will help Acuity deliver to its target market of B2C companies. He served as Vice President of Production and Technology for MarsMusic.com, where he managed the New York City production center for the Florida superstore retail chain and has consulted for many large retail brands on their Internet and E-commerce strategies.

Ashman received both his Bachelor of Science in Audio Technology and his Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from American University in Washington, DC where he has also [taught as an adjunct professor.
