Jon Kalmar's story is one of persistence and survival. In order to attend the 2007 WSOP Jon needed to travel from London to Las Vegas, and then when he arrived it was one cash event after another until he managed to win a seat in the WSOP from a satellite event.
During the Main Event, Jon outplayerd thousands of players until he ended up at the final table as chip leader, facing off with Lee Childs, Philip Hilm, Jerry Yang, Raymond Rahme, Tuan Lam, Alex Kravchenko, Lee Watkinson, and Hevad 'Rain' Khan.
Kurt Stine, publisher of ComKings, also attended the WSOP last year and recently conducted the interview with Jon, inquiring as to how his life has changed since finishing 5th at WSOP.
"Jon is an outgoing and persistent person," said Mr. Stine, "and it was always fun talking with him during breaks at WSOP."
