"We wanted to find something to sell, and we found coffee," says Howard Ashley, who operates the business with his wife, Carol.
The Shalina brand is known for its great quality and distinctive taste, in their coffee styles as well as select espresso, chocolate, and roasted nut varieties. "We tested it, and it's premium gourmet coffee," says Howard, who got into the business based on its popularity.
"I'm a coffee-loving individual who's sorry he can't drink a lot of it," explains Howard, whose allergy to coffee prevents him from drinking more than the occasional cup -- an allergy that means every cup should be of the best quality. "I'd like to give people a good return on their dollar and provide a good service."
