If the student chooses the correct answer, a follow-up message repeats the answer and informs the student that the answer was correct. If the student chooses a wrong answer, the correct answer is displayed and the student is informed that the word will be repeated at a later time.
"During the process, each word is presented to the student at least four times and the student is tested to ensure that they have learned the word," said Thomasson. "An online progress report tracks the messages and responses for each vocabulary word. If desired, TexTutor.com allows weekly progress reports to be automatically sent to the student, a parent, or a teacher."
