Newton, MA (PRWEB) April 2, 2008 -- Dr. Neal Barnard, President of Physicians Committee on Responsible Medicine and head of the Cancer Project For Life will speak on the past, present and future of the Cancer Project live via conference call at the home of David Snieckus on Saturday, April 12, 2008 from 5 p.m.to 5:30 p.m. There is a maximum capacity of 20 people on a first come, first served basis. A Light dinner and refreshments based on the Cancer Project recipes will be served. Donations for the food are welcome.
This is a National Event at over 20 House parties throughout the United States. Doors are open from 4-6 p.m. It is open and free to the public to hear about The Cancer Project's Food for Life Nutrition and Cooking Classes for Cancer Prevention and Survival. They are held in hospitals, supermarkets, churches, cancer centers, and other venues across the United States. Last year, The Cancer Project held more than 1,500 classes, reaching tens of thousands of people. These classes offer a path to better health and survival for people in communities all over the country.
In addition to attendance, any financial support of these classes that guests can provide will help keep these Nutritional and Cooking Classes free to participants, and guests will be supporting the only classes available that are teaching people about food's cancer-fighting qualities, easy preparation of nutritious meals, and how to eat healthfully for cancer prevention and survival.
To provide financial support, go to http://support.cancerproject.org/site/PageServer or guests can contribute when attending the conference call.
