Young Entrepreneur Ignites Internet Video Frenzy

OneHundredVideos.com: A new website has video bloggers and viral video enthusiasts on the edge of their seats.

Grand Rapids, MI (PRWEB) April 2, 2008 -- With a simple concept and humble homepage, OneHundredVideos.com has video bloggers and advertisers scrambling to obtain a piece of the site's real estate. Started only 2 weeks ago and having gone public in the last day, the site has already attracted over 100,000 visitors.

Stephen Strand, the site's creator says, "The Internet continues to be a place for community forum and discussion. With this site we hope to encourage that spirit through the use of video."

He hopes that the site will open up new possibilities for those looking to get a point across via their video for very little cost. With many other publicly visible video sites, your video is only as visible as the next person's or your ranking on the site. With OneHundredVideos.com, all 100 videos are linked in the same place, and will always be visible. It is this concept that has made the site so very popular.

Stephen also said, "This site gives anyone who owns a piece of the site the chance of having their video sit right next to a popular viral video, greatly increasing their exposure on the Internet."

The site allows for users to purchase one of 100 squares on the grid shown on the site's homepage to which they can upload a video of their choice. The user can even chose what image to place within the square to increase visibility. With no limit to video length and quality, visitors are clamoring to this site to use as an opportunity to get their video noticed on the web.

It all started out as a social experiment to gauge the reaction of the Internet's community of users to this new concept. After receiving large amounts of traffic per day, Stephen decided to take the site into the limelight and showcase the new idea to his friends and associates. Soon after, the site leaked to the masses and has been receiving hundreds of thousands of hits per day.

Stephen goes on to say, "With all of the interest in the site, we will be auctioning off the last 4 squares. The last square's proceeds will go to an Open Source software project." He says he and his team have been flooded with requests to take up real estate on the site. There are still spaces available and Stephen says that people shouldn't be shy about inquiring about space on the site.
