Education.com and BAM Radio Network Team Up

Online tools bring parents the best available information 24/7.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 3, 2008 -- Today, the BAM Radio Network (BRN), a joint project of Moving & Learning and Jackstreet Media, announced that it has teamed with Education.com to pilot Education Radio. Education.com is an online resource for parents with kids in preschool through grade 12. The site was developed as a place where educators and parents can get credible information and utilize technology's latest and most usable tools. The beta program is being launched as part of the magazine section at www.education.com and will nanocast BRN's premier program, Body, Mind and Child (www.bodymindandchild.com), hosted by Rae Pica, a 30- year veteran in the field of early childhood education. The program offers insightful discussions with the nation's leading child development experts on the issues parent and teachers care about most.

"Education.com is at the forefront of using technology to bring the best insights and information to parents and educators," said Rae Pica. "We are delighted to help them pilot the use of online radio as a tool for reaching their rapidly growing community."

Education.com Director of Editorial, Danielle Wood, adds, "Education.com prides itself on providing parents with information on whole child education -- not just reading, writing, and 'rithmetic, but body, mind, and character. Rae has done an amazing job enlightening our readers about the connection between physical leaps and mental development. Now, not only will Education.com's users be able to read Rae's wonderful articles and tips, but they'll also be able to hear her speak to some of the premier leaders in the education and child development fields. We're extremely excited to have her podcast launch on our site this month."

About Education.com

Education.com is a one-stop online destination for educational information and services for parents of children in preschool through grade 12. The site offers parents the ability to easily find over 4,000 reference articles from the most respected non-profits, government agencies, and universities in the country, plus cutting-edge editorial content, communities, and tools to answer education-related questions. Education.com, headquartered in Redwood City, Calif., was founded in 2006. The company is backed by leading venture capital firms, Azure Capital and TeleSoft Partners.

About BAM Radio Network

The BAM Radio Network was launched to address the severe imbalance in parenting practices caused by the "commercialization of parenting" and the emphasis on intellectual development that excludes the critical role of the mind/body connection in early childhood. Created by leading early childhood experts, the programming challenges the popular genre of parenting notions that has given rise to commercial products like Baby Einstein, Brainy Baby and lapware, all of which claim to accelerate a child's mental development in the face of science that suggests otherwise. The network is a joint venture between New Hampshire-based Moving & Learning and Los Angeles-based Jackstreet Media Ventures LLC. The program is distributed through the Affiliate Nanocasting Network.
