HR Acuity Releases Results of 2008 Workplace Investigation Benchmarking Surey

First-of-its-kind survey focuses on key personnel, organization structure and tools used to conduct workplace investigations into employee wrongdoing.

Chatham, NJ (PRWEB) April 7, 2008 -- HR Acuity, LLC, a leading provider of third-party workplace investigations into misconduct, including harassment, misuse of company funds, and discrimination, is pleased to announce that it has completed and compiled the results of its first workplace investigation benchmarking survey. This study is slated to become an annual undertaking in order to track trends and perform year over year statistical analyses into workplace investigation key personnel, tools, organizational structure and processes.

HR Acuity solicited a total of 41 companies to participate in this survey; 29 (71%) responded, demonstrating a strong interest in corporate statistics regarding workplace investigations. Questions in the survey focused on company demographics and workplace resources, organizational structure and tools used to conduct actual investigations.

Significant inferences were able to be drawn from the data collected. These are included in the report which provides keen insights into organization structure (centralized vs. decentralized workplace investigation structure), types of industries that are primarily centralized in their workplace investigation structure, key personnel who are responsible for conducting investigations, and the use of metrics and tracking processes in connection with investigations.

The survey report also includes a significant number of tables that organize the information collected and provide a visual context for ease of understanding.

Deborah Muller, founder and president of HR Acuity, comments, "It is our belief that companies are beginning to look more closely at the impact of the investigation process on their organizations, both from liability and productivity viewpoints. As the number of participants and topics addressed in this survey expand, this information will become increasingly valuable in relation to organizations' overall investigation structures and processes."
