All States Casters' "Try Before You Buy" Concept Solves Merck's Equipment Problem

Offering clients high-quality casters and related equipment at the best price, All States Casters is committed to serving clients with superior customer service - most recently for major pharmaceutical company Merck & Co., Inc. By allowing clients to test products before making a large purchase, All States Casters targets individual equipment needs.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) April 9, 2008 -- When Merck & Co., Inc., the international pharmaceutical developer, manufacturer, and distributor, was forced to continually replace the casters on their equipment, they called All States Casters owner Dave Spencer.

The problem at Merck revolved around autoclaves, heated units used for sterilization. The mixture of hot water, cleaning chemicals, and detergents inside the autoclaves was causing the casters to break down. Merck was replacing the casters on their carts every couple of months, an expensive and time-consuming process.

One year ago, when Dave Spencer stepped in to help solve Merck's problem, Spencer came up with a plan of action. Merck ordered two sets of Swedish-made casters from Spencer, who urged Merck to test the products for a few weeks before making a purchase. The new casters were sent straight into the autoclaves.

The Swedish casters were an improvement over Merck's previous casters, but Spencer knew that there was a better answer to optimizing Merck's equipment mobility. He soon found another solution and suggested that Merck try a new brand of casters, this time from an Italian manufacturer.

After several weeks of cycling through the autoclaves, the Italian casters exceeded Merck's expectations. The stainless steel casters with high-temperature rubber tread wheels did not break down during the trial period. Additionally, the new casters were soft and quiet, a major improvement over Merck's former hard, noisy casters, which were a constant source of annoyance.

This "try before you buy" concept is central to the success of All States Casters. Before making a major purchase and replacing casters, Spencer suggests that his clients try one or two sets of new casters for six to eight weeks.

"This is especially important when you're dealing with harsh conditions," says Spencer. The trial period is specifically designed to identify and troubleshoot problems. In an effort to keep the client's bottom line low, All States strives to find the right fit for every client's needs. All States' customer service approach is tailored to each client in order to solve equipment mobility problems in the best possible way.

Merck has replaced all of their casters with All States' Italian-made casters since the two partnered last year, saving Merck both time and money. Some former satisfied customers include Kroger, Safeway, Dell, IBM, and Costco, all a particular point of pride for All States Casters.

With over 15 years in the industry, All States Casters is devoted to developing expertise in prescribing the correct caster for every client's specific application.
