New York, NY (PRWEB) April 10, 2008 -- Over 300 information management leaders from the financial industry gathered at the New York Metropolitan Pavilion from March 11-14 to focus on issues such as measuring the quality of their data, understand how to improve their internal processes, ensure data consistency across their enterprise, and deal with market challenges.
The four day FIMA 2008 kicked off with the Data Quality & Metrics Summit, focused on developing a level of operational capability, agility and efficiency to improve data management. Through roundtable sessions, panel discussions and case studies, delegates had the chance to interact with their peers and gain insights into improving data quality programs.
One highlight of the main conference was a One-On-One Interview with Chief Data Officer, John Bottega from CITI. This interview touched on the experience John has had in his first year as CDO and the major challenges that he's been hit with, as well as how the industry and his position has evolved.
A Chief Data Officer of JP Morgan, Peter Serenita gave a practical and energetic session on Data Integration- Golden Copy Versus Transformed Truth. While Norman Brower, the Executive Director from Morgan Stanley gave a well received session on Anatomy Of An Effective Data Management Strategy.
