Clubline Football Helps QPR's Kickz Light Up The Community
Clubline Football, West Midlands based football kit and equipment supplier, have recently supplied the QPR in the Community Scheme with a number of Nightsearcher portable floodlights for QPR's Kickz programme.
(PRWEB) April 11, 2008 -- Clubline Football, West Midlands based football kit and equipment supplier, have recently supplied the QPR in the Community Scheme with a number of Nightsearcher portable floodlights for QPR's Kickz programme.
Kickz is just one of many QPR in the Community initiatives. They're also involved in soccer schools, in-school programmes across 5 London Boroughs, after-school coaching, match day activities, social inclusion work (New Deal for Communities Housing Estate Coaching, GOALS Project, Princes Trust) and Education Programmes notably Playing for Success, Reading is Fundamental. Their work over the last 5 years has expanded into a much wider spectrum beyond just football coaching. They believe the power of football can be used to drive many projects across the West London community.
Nick Palmer, Clubline Football Sales and Marketing Director, said "We're delighted that our specialised football website, www.clublinefootball.com, gives projects like this the chance to find us. We've a long history of involvement with school and community sport, especially football. We're a commercial sporting goods supplier, it's our business, but it's rewarding on another level to be providing football equipment to projects such as this."
Andy Evans, QPR Community Scheme Manager, said "Our goal is to inspire the West London Community through the game of football.
The breath and quality of provision that we provide is unrecognisable from the scheme's beginning. The range of activities is extremely diverse. Because of our highly adaptable working practices and ambition, we have been able to respond to emerging funding opportunities and experience real growth. As a result, there has been a rising in the standards of provision and these improvements are evident in areas such as increased staff expertise, particularly in work with children and young people.
The football club is also being used extensively as a vehicle to meet a variety of important social needs. Given recent changes in funding, there is now an increased focus on Social Inclusion projects. We are always looking to stretch our social agenda, and there's not much we're not touching - health, education, crime reduction, drugs awareness, racism issues.
The overall impact of the programme to the quality of life of an immense number of people each year should not be undervalued. A good vibrant scheme has a positive effect on the football club's image ensuring the young people we engage with build a lifelong interest in QPR FC. The QPR Community Programme touches many lives in deep and powerful ways."
Vanessa Bayley, Clubline's Sales Office Supervisor, commented "Our website www.clublinefootball.com has seen an enormous increase in our visibility. We offer high quality football kits and football equipment at great value with no compromise on customer service. Supplying the portable floodlights to the QPR football club scheme was a pleasure and we look forward to further opportunities to provide them with soccer coaching equipment and accessories".
