Bidding Option for Vacation Rental Travelers

BidMyRental is an innovative approach to luring travelers to Vacation Rentals instead of the traditional hotels. This is a new national listing site that has condos, villas and private homes for savvy travelers to choose from and have more control over their travel budget.

Destin, FL (PRWEB) April 12, 2008 -- The ever evolving world of the web has brought information to the masses and changed the time frames in which we live; the availability of the information in which we seek; and the power of the savvy consumer.

Rentals have long been a niche market for the distinctive traveler who prefers a more spacious, private retreat than the hustle and bustle of a cramped hotel room. Born on personal relationships, many traditional Vacation Rental providers are finding that to expand their market they must invoke the power of the web and grab the attention of new consumers.

BidMyRental.com was created by two young Vacation Rental Industry innovators who were challenged with growing an established business in the Destin, Florida area. Joe Scurto is already a veteran of the website development industry with over a decade of experience; starting at only 17 years old, Joe has grown his consulting business to include single management companies, regional and national travel portals. His business partner, Amber Leto has been directly involved in property management and Vacation Rental marketing for over five years. Utilizing their combined talents, Joe and Amber created BidMyRental to traverse the fine line between property managers, homeowners and potential guests yet offer a unique bidding interface for the Vacation Rental industry.

Travelers can go to BidMyRental.com and choose from several different local markets and bid on their vacation stay. Suggested rates are posted to help travelers make reasonable offers, but ultimately it is up to the property manager to accept, decline or counteroffer. Regardless, this should help give those consumers who prefer to have a higher level of interaction and control with their purchases the opportunity to seek accommodations in the Vacation Rental sector instead of choosing only amongst hotels.

The site has grown mainly by word of mouth, but recently BidMyRental.com has partnered with Instant Software, the leading provider of Property Management software in the country and is steadily adding more inventory on a regular basis. While being more cost effective, luxurious and spacious, condos and private homes are still a secret amongst elite travelers. The founders of the company hope this new interface for travelers will help increase exposure for the Vacation Rental industry which currently only services less than 30% of leisure travelers.
