Siemens Executive and Wireless Industry Veteran joins Pinyon Technologies Advisory Board

Nicholas Ord, VP Innovation, at Siemens Home and Office Communication Devices GmbH & Co. joins Pinyon Technologies Advisory Board.

We are delighted to have Mr. Ord join our advisory board

Munich, Germany and Reno, NV (PRWEB) April 15, 2008 -- Nicholas Ord, VP Innovation has joined Pinyon Technologies Advisory Board to provide strategic insight into the Wireless industry.

Mr. Ord has worked approximately half his 15 year career in technology positions (Infineon, Siemens) and the other half in financial and risk management (NatWest, Gerling) - both in Germany and the City of London. This combination has enabled him in getting technology to financially perform. He has a proven track record at Siemens where he currently heads innovation, with products servicing both consumer retail and operator channels.

"We are delighted to have Mr. Ord join our advisory board," said Pinyon chief executive officer Debashis Bagchi. "His experience in the wireless networking industries as well as his skills in using FMCG innovation methods to convert technologies to products which sell, will help Pinyon identify high growth markets.

"I have been fascinated by Pinyon Technologies AirWire® Antenna technology." Ord commented. "Their current driven shorted slot antenna technology is a patented advance over voltage driven antennas. Applying this basic technology to the UWB, Bluetooth, WiFi and WiMax spaces may change how RF designers approach their task. AirWire antennas achieve a matching efficiency that is of the order of 90%, providing a remarkable increase over conventional antennas in terms of both sensitivity and power. This superior efficiency gives an increased reach; allowing new use cases for specific target groups while reducing power consumption, yet still remaining within existing wireless standards. I look forward to helping Pinyon focus this unique technology into the market."
