Gentle Giant Moving Company Announces its Role as Official Mover of the Boston Marathon for 10th Consecutive Year
Gentle Giant to Transport Goods and Athletic Equipment for the 112th Annual Race

Taking place on Monday, April 21, the 112th Boston Marathon requires transportation and storage of supplies, food and beverage, signage, and athletic equipment. Gentle Giant will take on its traditional pre-race and marathon day role of planning and managing these logistics.
The scope of Gentle Giant's work with the Marathon includes:
| | - Delivery of more than 100,000 lbs. (14+ truckloads) of Marathon goods and equipment, including thousands of pounds of food and water to the Boylston Street finish line
- Set-up along side Marathon volunteers beginning at 5:00 am on race day
- Transportation of elite race wheelchairs to the starting line in Hopkington
- Driving the famous Gentle Giant purple trucks hundreds of miles with Boston Marathon supplies

For each Boston Marathon, Gentle Giant provides about 350 man-hours, starting weeks before the actual event, through to the close of race day. In addition to providing moving labor, a group of 10 Giants and friends of the company will run the course in Gentle Giant running uniforms.
