New Video Site Ranking Grows 5.2 Million Points In A Record Setting 3 Days
YouTube style video sharing site www.PhonOnline.com, now ranked at 521,365 in the US, is growing in popularity with over 2000 unique visitors each day in only its second month of pre-launch. Now it seeks original shows to syndicate, along with banner and video advertisers.
Washington, DC (PRWEB) April 20, 2008 -- There is a new emerging leader among video sharing sites whose recent traffic activity soared to remarkable levels last month. In just its second month of Pre-Launch, www.PhonOnline.com, an online video social site founded by suspense author Phon, is setting records. Now its creators are seeking shows to syndicate, supported by banner and video advertisements, before the site goes live on September 1, 2008.
When PhonOnline.com first started, during its one and a half month debugging phase, the video sharing site had no Alexa ranking. Then, in the middle of March 2008, traffic increased to 40 unique visitors each day. The next week it had reached 1000.
"The rapid success caught us off guard," Phon recounts. "People showed up without seeing an ad."
New visitors flooded to the privately known video sharing site everyday for the next week, which left an impression on Alexa.com. In only its third week on the internet, with the help of 47 unique visitors and over 262 page loads each day, PhonOnline.com earned an Alexa ranking of 9.8 million. As if that weren't enough to excite the staff at PhonOnline.com, just 32 hours later the new video sharing site had crawled up to an amazing 4.6 million ranking on Alexa.com.
"We planned to succeed and that's what we're doing," Phon explains. "But we didn't plan to grow 5.2 million points in 32 hours. No one could have planned that."
Four months before promotion day, six months before the new video sharing site was scheduled to go live on September 1, 2008, the staff of PhonOnline.com learned that the 5.2 million Alexa ranking was sparked by a surge of daily traffic. In the last two weeks of March PhonOnline.com reached 1018 daily visits on average with over 5000 daily page views. At least three of those days traffic peaked at an average of 2133 daily visits, with over 9,000 daily page views, pushing the new video social site to number 521,365 in the US.
Now, the staff at PhonOnline are back hard at work designing, testing, seeking new syndicated shows to create a unique programming lineup, which creates enormous potential for medium to large sized businesses looking to secure premium advertising slots before the new video sharing community goes live.
"We already have Real Talk," Phon explains, referring to the sites' new blog where Michael Sieber, Founder of The Word Wrangler (www.TheWordWrangler.com), is the Lead Blogger on Monday's and Friday's starting on April 28, 2008. "We have the blog; we have the videos. All we need are some original shows like the ones on Blip.tv."
Another source of Phon's inspiration, Blip.tv syndicates unique online broadcasting which is supported by video advertisement that other users have the opportunity to share the profits. This is done by embedding the videos on other sites and encouraging friends, family and colleagues to watch them. This concept, along with YouTube's multifaceted structure, was included in the new site renovations for PhonOnline.com with some features that "no other site is doing."
With PhonOnline's ever increasing online ranking, CEO and Founder Stephon D. Rudd promises no shortage of visitors to a phenomenon that is only two and a half months old. Projections for May 2008 show an increase in traffic to over 500,000 visitors, June 2008 projections are close to 1.2 million visitors, and the launch month in September project nearly 8.9 million visitors for that month.
"It's still a baby and babies cry sometimes, but babies grow up fast too."
No prototypes of the new site, nor any information on its added innovative features, have been released. However, Phon makes guarantees that the new design and site functionality, to be unveiled a little before the official launch date on September 1, 2008, will be "an awesome experience never seen before" and help solidify PhonOnline.com as a leader in the fast growing video sharing era.
