Henley-Putnam University Enters Into an Educational Agreement with the FBI

Henley-Putnam University has entered into an educational agreement with the FBI. While employees of all federal agencies are welcome additions to the Henley-Putnam student body and are in fact currently enrolled, this particular agreement allows the FBI to actively designate when its members are making an application, effectively expediting the application process for FBI employees.

San Jose, California, (PRWEB) April 17, 2008 -- Henley-Putnam University has entered into an educational agreement with the FBI. While employees of all federal agencies are welcome additions to the Henley-Putnam student body and are in fact currently enrolled, this particular agreement allows the FBI to actively designate when its members are making an application. Since Henley-Putnam is the only University requiring background checks of all of its students, this proposed alignment will expedite the application process. "It's kind of like getting the new 'Clear' pass set up at U.S. airports," stated University President Dr. Michael Corcoran. "It helps you get through the line a little quicker."

It was agreed that the common goal between the FBI and Henley-Putnam University was to expand the access to high-quality educational opportunities for learners, consistent with the missions and stated objectives of both organizations. To accomplish this goal this agreement also states that Henley-Putnam University will work with the FBI in establishing specialized learning groups with the FBI students and will invite the FBI to attend various networking and roundtable events hosted by Henley-Putnam with Corporate Alliance participants. In this way members of the FBI and corporate America can share issues of mutual concern and benefit through an educational or "learning" forum.

"We are delighted to enter into this agreement with the FBI which will allow us to better understand their current and unique needs," said Greg Von Gehr, Henley-Putnam's CEO. "Since all of our degree programs are taught online and we have a number of Federal Law Enforcement personnel on our faculty, we are well positioned to understand our FBI students' and provide them a first rate education in the strategic security industry."
