Walden University Offers New Master of Information Systems Management Degree

Walden University, an accredited online institution, is now offering students a Master of Information Systems Management degree.

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) April 19, 2008 -- Walden University, one of the largest online providers of graduate degrees, now offers a Master of Information Systems Management degree to help prepare students for leadership in the creation and management of information systems, processes and services that meet organizational needs. The Master of Information Systems Management program addresses the urgent demand for professionals who can bring business insight and strong skills in leadership and communication to the management of business-critical, technology-based projects and processes for global information services and systems.

Walden's Master of Information Systems Management program is designed to produce managers who combine technical and business skills to solve problems and provide solutions in their enterprises. The curriculum integrates business and technical knowledge that equips graduates to work across organizational and disciplinary boundaries and provides them with the skills they need to manage the development and delivery of information solutions.

"Walden Master of Information Systems Management students will develop sound competencies to make them valuable contributors in today's competitive, international business environment. Our graduates will be able to develop skills particularly important in a climate of outsourcing, such as function and process knowledge, security, managing third-party providers, and managing stakeholder expectations," said Jonathan A. Kaplan, president of Walden University.

Information technology is one of the fastest-growing sectors in the U.S. economy, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics:*
