Finding God's Perfect Love in an Imperfect World

When a father loses his child in court

Longwood, FL (PRWEB) April 19, 2008 -- Dear Child, Love, Daddy (paperback, 978-1-60647-100-5; hardcover, 978-1-60647-101-2), by an anonymous Xulon Press author, is a compilation of 365 letters from a loving father to his forcibly estranged child. Having felt the horror of one of his children being kidnapped during a custody battle, this husband and father of three writes daily letters to his child, whom he is still without. He hopes to convey that he loves his child very much and longs to have the relationship they used to have. He also wants to give the youngster "solid, biblical and gentle instruction on life's lessons." Since he hears nothing in return he assumes his child never receives the letters.

The author also hopes the book will encourage men "everywhere to build relationships with their children and be the fathers their children need in whatever way they can, despite the fathers' comfort levels." And "even when things don't go the way we'd like, especially in relationships, we can and should continue to do what is right, regardless of what is reciprocated."

He further hopes "readers will gain a better understanding of who God the Father is in terms of His being a loving Father." And "while many fathers on earth strive to give perfect love, they will fall short because they aren't perfect. But God is perfect, and He loves us perfectly."

The author believes the book "may be a starting point for healing in adult children who had less than favorable relationships with their fathers."

The coauthor-consultant holds a degree in psychology with an emphasis in human development and has done graduate study in psychology with an emphasis on the family.
