PD-LD Successfully Renews ISO 9001 Certification. High-tech firm retains top industry standard for 7th consecutive year.

Originally developed in Europe, the International Organization for Standardization's 9001:2000 designation is considered to be the gold standard for quality assurance within the high-tech industry and beyond.

According to the International Organization for Standardization, the ISO 9001:2000 is a set of standards for quality management systems and is administered by accreditation and certification bodies.

Some of the requirements to earn ISO 9001 designation include:

·   Monitoring processes to ensure they are effective;
·   Keeping adequate records;
·   Checking for defects, with appropriate corrective action where necessary;
·   Reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself regularly;
