(PRWEB) April 19, 2008 -- CorePower Yoga, known for its dynamic and accessible yoga and lifestyle programs, opens its first greater Los Angeles - area studio April 18th. Grand Opening festivities kick-off April 26th at 12:00pm. Cameron Shayne, creator and founder of Budokon, will headline the events on the 26th with his signature Art of Budokon Master Class.

Cameron Shayne, a staple in the Southern California yoga community and long-time supporter of CorePower Yoga said, "CorePower Yoga brings a distinct style of yoga to this area. I'm thrilled to be a part of the grand opening."

CorePower Yoga - Huntington Beach is the third CorePower Yoga studio to open in Southern California and one of 21 CorePower Yoga studios nationwide. CorePower Yoga studios offer Power Yoga, which is a heated Vinyasa flow, Hot Yoga, Hot Power Fusion, and Yoga Sculpt, which is yoga practiced with free weights. All yoga classes encompass a wide variety of asana or yoga poses. CorePower Yoga is rapidly expanding in the Los Angeles area, with yoga studios opening in Aliso Viejo, Costa Mesa, Tustin and Mission Viejo this year.

CorePowerYoga - Huntington Beach will feature flattering yoga clothing styles that extend beyond the classroom to the street. Yoga clothing product selection includes active wear, lifestyle fashion and yoga accessories. The selected styles feature comfort, functionality and ease in the classroom, and include brands such as lululemon athletica, Be Present, Tonic and YogiToes. The CorePower Yoga web site also features an online retail store which sells yoga DVDs, and also provides a link to Yoga on Demand featuring over 65 online yoga classes that can be practiced anywhere at any time with an internet connection.

CorePower Yoga offers discounted yoga packages to military personnel, full-time students, full-time teachers, and seniors over the age of 55. CorePower Yoga also offers a free week of yoga for new students, along with a first-time monthly unlimited package.

CorePower Yoga - Huntington Beach will host a range of lifestyle programs including CorePower Yoga BootCamp, a weekend intensive Nutrition Program, Yogi Training and Yoga Alliance certified 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training.

BootCamp is the newest addition to CorePower Yoga's lifestyle programs. BootCamp expands the physical challenge beyond yoga to introduce unique strength and circuit training classes. This program will be offered at CorePower Yoga - Huntington Beach in Fall 2008.

CorePower Yoga's Nutrition Program is designed to identify food allergies/sensitivities, to achieve health goals, and make better choices regarding nutrition and exercise. This program will be offered Fall 2008.

CorePower Yoga - Huntington Beach will be offering a Yoga Alliance certified 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification.

CorePower Yoga - Huntington Beach will host a range of yoga workshops including Forrest Yoga with Ana Forrest, a yoga workshop with Darren Main, and a yoga workshop with Janet Stone.

CorePower Yoga hosts a biannual yoga retreat in Tulum, Mexico where yogis have the opportunity to practice yoga on the beach. CorePower Yoga also hosts an annual Colorado mountain retreat in the Rocky Mountains.
