Toronto, ON (PRWEB) April 24, 2008 -- April 2008 marks the beginning of a heartfelt campaign to engage heroes, angels, and the like in a fight to conquer despair. http://www.OverTheStairsBelow.blogspot.com explores the many insightful facets of despair and chronicles events of a very difficult journey.
The events are real, the emotions are real and most of all, the hope is real. This unorthodox appeal just may be this victim's last hope.

As other children were toying with the phrase "what do you want to be when you grow up", I knew deep in my soul that this question was not for me to ponder. My soul searching was much more elemental. On Maslow's hierarchy of needs, I was still fighting to meet the most basic of needs. I couldn't put it into words then, as a child, but I knew that before I could dream about what I was going to be when I grew up, I had to solve the issue of how I was going to survive. Survival is an instinctive reaction when facing extreme adversity. Everything else shuts down. Life becomes but one purpose. The pursuit of happiness never factors in.
In this context, lowering one's expectations is ludicrous. My drive became: "Improve your Reality".
