Wheeled Coach Industries Names Scott Barnes as Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Orlando, FL (PRWEB) April 20, 2008 -- Wheeled Coach Industries, the world's leading ambulance manufacturer, announced today that Scott Barnes has joined the Company as Vice President of Sales & Marketing, effective April 16, 2008. Barnes will report directly to Bob Collins, President of Wheeled Coach. In his new position, Barnes will be responsible for leading the sales and marketing team for Wheeled Coach's complete line of emergency vehicles.

Scott has over 38 years experience in the Fire and EMS industry dating back to 1979 when he became a dealer for our Company. In fact, during the 17 years Scott represented Wheeled Coach, we grew to become the world's leader in emergency medical vehicles. I believe Scott has vision and experience that will enable us to not only maintain our leadership position, but increase that position throughout the global emergency vehicle market" stated Bob Collins.

Most recently, Mr. Barnes served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for American LaFrance. In that role he was responsible for the $200+ million revenue stream for the Company's Fire and EMS vehicles. A long time resident of Central Florida, Barnes attended Seminole Community College and the University of Central Florida where he majored in History.

Mr. Barnes has personal field experience with the Altamonte Springs Fire Department, Orange County Sheriff's Office and Valencia Community College. He began Aero Products Corporation in 1978 leading the Company into the Inc. 500 in 1983. In 1994 he introduced the MedicMaster® and RescueMaster® vehicles to the Fire and EMS industry. In 1998 Barnes sold the Company to Freightliner, LLC and joined its subsidiary, American LaFrance.
