The Gallery presents its exhibited works utilizing it's exclusive dViewer technology allowing users to appreciate traditional paintings in 3D.
Tel-Aviv, Israel (PRWEB) April 23, 2008 -- Traditional art has always lagged behind in the on-line world. The millennium-old art of painting has never been able to be adequately represented online till now. Tel-Aviv's Dreamarte Gallery has opened it's 'Next Year In Jerusalem' exhibition, utilizing it's exclusive dViewer technology, to coincide with this exhibition celebrating Passover (Pesach) 2008.
There are two times in the year that Jewish tradition and religion asks Jews to state, pray ... and yearn-for ... 'Next Year In Jerusalem'. One of those times is within the closing prayers of the Day of Atonement ... and the second time is during the Passover seder.
During this Passover season, Dreamarte Gallery is proud to present a Passover tribute to the City of Lights ... the City of Gold. Whatever one thinks of the politics or the spirituality of Jerusalem, one thing is clear, it will always leave a lasting impression. Twenty-one paintings from 10 local artists can now be scrutinized and appreciated in 3D allowing users to see the paintings from unlimited perspectives.
According to John Pruzanski, the General Manager of Dreamarte, "It's about time are able to adequately exhibit art on-line. The basic jpg is not a great representation of a painting. We've worked long and hard to find a suitable technology to properly present paintings ... and we believe we've found the perfect answer.
"It is important that jpgs are able to be represented in a manner and fashion that allows users to inspect the work at close range and at multiple angles. It is also extremely important that the user experience appears seamless ... that the work can be viewed through a standard browser utilizing commom-place technologies. We've been able to achieve both objectives. No extraordinary applications or downloads are required. Just the standard Flash-enabled browser ... which is basically any and all of them."
But Pruzanski also waxed enthusiastically about the content; " ... but the technology is only a platform to represent the content. It's the content that rules and Dreamarte is adamant that it will host and exhibit the 'cream-of-the-crop' ... the best and most provoking art ..." he said.
The 'Next Year In Jerusalem' exhibition features works from; Ben Avram, Mark Braver, Inna Livnov, Yossi Yossel, Kim Tkatch, Albert Goldman, Alex Grinshpun, Lesya Bershov, Henry Dentith and Vladamir Rutschtein.
