PrepChamps Closes $1.2 Million Series A Round Funding
Investment to fuel rapid growth of online social recruiting community for high school athletes.
Raleigh/Durham, NC (PRWEB) April 23, 2008 -- PrepChamps, a fast growing online social recruiting community for high school sports, announced today that the company has secured over $1.2 million in series A funding from a number of angel investment groups and private investors. The influx of financial resources will further assist PrepChamps in its goal of getting high school athletes recognized and recruited.
Created in an effort to increase social recruiting and social networking for 7.5 million of the nation's high school student athletes, PrepChamps will use the funding to build off of its past and current successes: its new website, its many partnerships, its combines and tournament affiliates, and its recent collaboration with myYearbook.com to sponsor virtual 'battles'.
