Up and coming fighter Alvin "The Philipino Phenom" Cacdac claims IFC Featherweight Championship.

Oroville, CA (PRWEB) April 24, 2008 -- The amazing Gold Country Casino played host to the International Fighting Championships "Warriors Challenge 22" which pitted submission specialist Randy Spence (10-7) against Iceman Rx's rising star Alvin "The Philipino Phenom" Cacdac (7-3), for the IFC Featherweight Championship.

The battle concluded after 5 blistering rounds of MMA action that saw rapid-fire submission attempts and a technical kickboxing clinic by both fighters. The Nor-Cal Fight Factory trained Cacdac scored a unanimous decision victory over Cesar Gracie disciple Spence in a fight that could have ended in the blink of an eye, with either athlete having their hand raised.

Cacdac imposed his will from the opening bell, scoring at will on the ground in rounds one, three and five, but rounds two and four saw the two combatants locked in a Kickboxing match that had the crowd on the edge of their seats. The young "Phenom" seemingly had a game plan that called for a large dose of punishment for any submission attempt, and it was evident on the face of the training partner of Nick and Nathan Diaz.

"Randy never gave up, he had me in some tough spots but my training has been paying off" said Alvin, who is riding a five straight win streak. He also stated, "I owe it all to my team, my coach and my nutrition which includes IcemanRX." Look out world…here comes "The Philipino Phenom."
