InventHelp Client and Nursing Student Invents IV-Line Insertion Aid

An InventHelp client from Sioux Falls, S.D., has designed a medical device that would help a nurse to insert and secure an IV line more quickly and easily.

Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) April 25, 2008 -- InventHelp announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Sioux Falls, S.D., has designed a medical device that would help a nurse to insert and secure an IV line more quickly and easily.

The IV AIDE would serve as an added precaution against infection. It would reduce the risk of a patient's movement dislodging an IV, and it could enhance a patient's comfort by minimizing tugging at the injection site. The IV AIDE also is producible in a variation for use with central lines.

The inventor's own professional experiences and observations gave him the idea for the IV AIDE. "As a nursing student, I see a constant need to enhance safety and efficiency in medical procedures," he said. "With regard to starting IVs, my invention fulfills this need."

The original design was submitted to the Telemarketing Janello office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers. For more information, write Dept. 07-JAN-115, InventHelp, 217 Ninth Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, or call (412) 288-1300 ext. 1368.
