San Rafael, California (PRWEB) April 25, 2008 –- A daunting maze of numbers confronts Baby Boomers seeking to help aging parents. To no avail, they scan thousands of Internet search results and review hundreds of general purpose websites. Parent Care is introducing customized local information to help eldercare providers to assess their individual elderly parents' needs, locate and evaluate local services to meet them and anticipate future needs.

Seeking assistance for an elderly parent is already daunting enough for Baby Boomers without the added hurdle of wading through countless web searches which often lead to dead ends. They, and often their employers seeking to lend a hand, encounter overwhelming numbers. Accounts of billions of dollars in lost productivity, millions of parents in need of assistance and thousands claiming to offer it leave them bewildered. Parent Care can stop the endless searching and free caregivers from the daunting maze of numbers, and much of their resulting stress.

The subscription website provides detailed reports on each county in the US that include links to the services caregivers need. Effective immediately, subscribers can now download the eight to ten page report keyed to their parents' unique situation which then serves as a powerful PC desktop eldercare resource. The firm's network of featured experts also provide answers to questions within their respective fields of expertise. The network includes doctors, lawyers, gerontologists, pharmacists, elder abuse, senior relocation, fall prevention and aging-in-place specialists. These services are complemented by an array features including safety checklists, daily tips, news, videos and book reviews. During May, subscriptions including the customized reports will be priced at the $39.95 now charged for subscriptions including general reports. Beginning on June 1, subscriptions including custom reports will be $99.95.

"Our intent is to provide a reliable one-stop caregiver resource", commented the firm's president Bill Gillis. "Our concern is to reduce the numbers associated with caregiving such as the amount of time wasted looking for information and money spent unnecessarily. We do this by placing the information unique to their parents at the caregiver's fingertips and directing them to sources of free services and out-of-pocket reimbursements".

Gillis also highlighted Parent Care's emphasis on reducing caregivers' stress levels. "Numerous illnesses and ailments result the stress induced by caregiving. One recent study even noted that chronic stress endured by caregivers can significantly reduce their life spans. If we can help lower subscribers' stress as they successfully assist their parents, we will have accomplished out goal!"
