Candi lives in Washington state and was losing touch with her grandchildren, so she decided to start a website where she could post family adventures, memories, stories, photos and interactive games to play with them at www.far-away-grandmas.com.

Candi is a retired teacher and has always found children and young people fascinating. Then she found herself living far away from her grandchildren, so she wrote a book, "A Riverside Walk with Grandma," a story about taking an imaginary walk together along the beautiful Columbia River that flows through her town.
