A Far Away Grandma Reins in Grandchildren with Interactive Website

Candida Labrecque has a mission: helping grandparents worldwide keep in touch with their grandchildren. Her website, www.far-away-grandmas.com, and her children's book, "A Riverside Walk With Grandma," inspire other grandparents to fulfill that desire. Affiliate sites offer a variety of ways to close the gap between grandparents and their grandchildren. Business opportunities are also suggested and encouraged as a means to build and enjoy a loving relationship with grandchildren.

Richland, WA (PRWEB) April 26, 2008 -- Candida Labrecque is a grandmother with a mission, to keep grandmas from all over the world in touch with their grandchildren. Candi lives in Washington state and was losing touch with her grandchildren, so she decided to start a website where she could post family adventures, memories, stories, photos and interactive games to play with them at www.far-away-grandmas.com.

Candi is a retired teacher and has always found children and young people fascinating. Then she found herself living far away from her grandchildren, so she wrote a book, "A Riverside Walk with Grandma," a story about taking an imaginary walk together along the beautiful Columbia River that flows through her town. She published her book and now inspires other grandmas to do the same.

Candi is not at all ready for retirement so she asked herself, "What's next?" The answer that came to her by asking that question was to find ways to make more money so she could travel to see her grandchildren and spend summer vacations with them and help them with their college funds. She has added affiliate sites to her website and hopes to use her website as a model for other grandparents to help close the gap between them and their grandchildren.

Grandparents, children and everyone are encouraged to leave their personal stories about how they solved the "distance" problems between them and their loved ones. Photos enhance the pages which include music and art activities and favorite books promoting the gift of reading. Business opportunities are suggested and encouraged for other grandparents.

Candi's website, www.far-away-grandmas.com, is designed for all ages. It offers many suggestions and opportunities for faraway grandmas to interact with their grandchildren more often.
