CARSON wrappedhershey.com Purchases Project Runway, Hershey's "Eye Candy" Fashions, Completes Major Facility Renovation

CARSON wrappedhersheys.com has just completed a major renovation of its offices and production facility, near Cincinnati, Ohio, which also includes a showroom with a large collection of Hershey's memorabilia. Carson Wrapped Hershey's is also proud to announce it recently acquired eight (8) of only ten (10) Hershey's "Eye Candy" dresses created and featured on the hit television reality show, Project Runway, which just completed its fourth season on the Bravo Network. The proceeds from the purchase will benefit the Young Survival Coalition.

Fairfield, OH (PRWEB) April 29, 2008 -- During Season Four of the hit television reality show, Project Runway, The Hershey Company provided major sponsorship, and the designers had to complete the "Hershey's challenge". The contestants were taken to Hershey's Chocolate World, in New York City's Times Square, and given a short amount of time to gather anything they wished for material to design and create a dress. The results were very interesting and the designers used fabrics from pillows, plastic bags and even candy wrappers themselves to make their "candy couture". CARSON wrappedhersheys.com has now acquired eight of these fabulous dresses created during the show.

When asked why Carson Wrapped Hershey's made the acquisition, Scott Frederick, President of Business Operations and Sales, stated, "Many different reasons collided at once. Of course our strong sales of Hershey's chocolate and their sponsorship of the show made it a natural fit, but we were equally drawn by the fact that the proceeds from the auction to buy the dresses went to a wonderful organization, the Young Survival Coalition. I also cannot forget the fact that my daughters are big fans of the Project Runway, and were really excited about getting the dresses as well.

"I had hoped to buy them all, but I lost one because I could not keep up with all ten at once. After a two hour bidding war for the last dress, I finally gave up, because it was obvious the person on the other end was not going to give in, so I stopped bidding at $3000. I just recently learned I lost the dress to Paula Abdul."

After being displayed over the last several weeks at the Hershey's Chocolate World stores in New York City, Chicago and Hershey, Pennsylvania, the dresses will be loaned by CARSON wrappedhersheys.com to Dylan's Candy Bar and their flagship store in New York City, where they can be seen by all who visit this summer.

"During a recent trip to Hershey, Pa., the dresses were on display and I watched as people got so excited to see them," said Scott Frederick. Dylan Lauren, founder of Dylan's Candy Bar, www.dylanscandybar.com , was in town that weekend to emcee the Hershey's "Sweet Fashions" show, and asked if she could display the dresses in her flagship New York City store, and Frederick did not hesitate to say "yes". "Now they will be enjoyed by thousands more people over the next several months, which is wonderful!," Frederick added.

Afterwards, the Hershey's dresses will be returned to their new home at the Carson Wrapped Hershey's facility and proudly displayed in their showroom along with its large collection of Hershey's memorabilia. Visitors are welcome to visit Carson Wrapped Hershey's, and sample a "sweet treat" while viewing the Hershey's nostalgia.

About Carson Wrapped Hershey's - CARSON wrappedhersheys.com:

Carson Wrapped Hershey's was established in 1993, when Edward Carson was looking for a creative way to celebrate the birth of his granddaughter, Elise. Instead of passing out cigars, he created pink candy wrappers to put around Hershey's chocolate bars. It proclaimed, "HERESHEIS," in large type. Elise's name and weight appeared in small print on the front, and other vital statistics, including the date and time of her arrival and her parents' names, were on the back. This simple birth announcement launched the personalized Hershey's bar industry to a new level.

The product line of custom Hershey's items has continued to expand, including its signature personalized candy and favors for all occasions birth, wedding, birthdays, anniversaries, religious events, corporate promotions, etc. Carson has its own graphic design team that can help customers create unique wrappers, limited only by their own imagination.

Carson Enterprises ( Carson Wrapped Hershey's ) is licensed by Hershey Chocolate and Confectionery Corporation, and is a member of the Direct Marketing Association. Carson employs 30 full time team members and several part time members, just north of Cincinnati, Ohio.
