ScienceLogic Names Adnan Hindi as Vice President of Operations

IT operations and virtualization management expert, formerly of FannieMae, will be joining ScienceLogic as vice president of operations. His extensive background in ITOM and virtualization will be a key component of the company's future growth strategy.

Reston, VA (PRWEB) April 28, 2008 -- ScienceLogic™ LLC, a leading IT Operations Management (ITOM) provider, announced today that it has hired Adnan Hindi as vice president of operations. His extensive ITOM background, particularly in virtualization management and highly-scalable multi-datacenter management, and his entrepreneurial experience will be instrumental in efficiently enabling strong operating conditions for the company to grow even more rapidly.

"Adnan is a perfect fit for the company," said David Link, CEO of ScienceLogic. "As a successful founder of three startups of his own, he knows what it takes to grow a business the right way. His experience and expertise in real-world operations make him an asset from day one because he knows our industry and understands where it needs to go, particularly in the virtualization management space."

Mr. Hindi joins ScienceLogic from FannieMae where his duties spanned from Multi-Datacenter Infrastructure Operations to streamlining Datacenter efficiencies with a multi-datacenter Virtualization initiative with emphasis on TCO & RIO. He is a recognized Virtualization expert with real-world experience managing enterprise production virtual environments; he has contributed to published VMware white papers and has been asked to speak at several conferences on behalf of companies such as Microsoft, VMware, and The 451 Group. As an active member of the Microsoft Virtualization Customer Advisory Council and the VMware User Group community, he has provided advice on industry issues and provided strategic direction for Microsoft's and VMware's virtualization initiatives.

"Virtualization has the potential to be the next dot-com boom," said Mr. Hindi. "But if people don't know how to tame the 'virtualization beast', it could rapidly become the next dot-com bust. Keeping an eye on your virtual infrastructure will become more challenging as virtualization technology matures. That said, I am very excited about ScienceLogic's holistic approach to solving operational deficiencies - specifically monitoring and alerting - which I believe is a unique approach to wrapping virtualization solutions into a broader infrastructure management and capacity planning solution that closes the management gap and sets them apart in the marketplace."
